Weinhandlung Gies , known as Weinhaus Gies, has served the Hanau old town since 26 October 1957 as a source of Palatinate wines from the private winery Alfons Gies & Sohn in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Monika and Ralf Petry have run it since 2002 under the idea of a little piece of the Palatinate in the heart of Hanau. It combines a local wine bar with wine sales, offering more than 44 wines and sparkling wines from the Weinkellerei Ruppertsberger. The house also offers a 360 degree virtual tour of its rooms.
