Description

Weingut Wailand was founded in 1996 and farms vineyards in Vienna on the Kahlenberg and in Nußdorf. The owner is the journalist Dr. Georg Wailand. The estate manages five hectares, mainly Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Zweigelt, in sites such as Ried Mitterberg and Ried Pratteln, partly replanted with advice from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. It produces white wine, red wine and sparkling wine, which is served in top-end restaurants, and it also runs a Heuriger with seasonal opening days.
