Description

Weingut Koehler-Ruprecht is a winery in the centre of Kallstadt on the German Wine Route in the Pfalz. It farms 12.5 hectares of vineyards, mostly on limestone, where grapes are selected and picked by hand. All wines are fermented spontaneously and aged in old wooden barrels, with long contact with the yeast and late bottling. Its sites include the Kallstadter Annaberg, Kreidkeller and Saumagen, where the limestone and sandstone soils give Riesling its minerality, and Chardonnay grows on a chalk subsoil in the Annaberg.
