Description
Vinnslustöðin (VSV) is an Icelandic fishing and fish processing company based on the island of Vestmannaeyjar, active since 1946. It catches, processes and delivers fish from the North Atlantic. Its groundfish are caught year round close to the island, and the species most commonly processed are cod, redfish, saithe and haddock. It also catches and processes pelagic fish seasonally, mainly capelin and capelin roe, mackerel and herring. VSV works with partners to adapt its products to local consumer needs and states that its fishing is done responsibly.
