Tsukamoto (Ama-natto) — Tsukamoto is a Japanese maker of ama-natto, sweet simmered beans, which it produces by hand over an open flame. The company has been in business since 1935, more than 80 years, and opened a new factory in Ryugasaki, Ibaraki, in March 2008. It has its own sugar-replacement processing technology and says it aims to create new kinds of ama-natto from new ingredients. In March 2019 it became the first company in the ama-natto industry to obtain FSSC 22000 food safety certification. It sells through an online store and a factory shop.
