Description

Trukai Industries is a Papua New Guinea company whose relationship with the country dates from 1970, when it was incorporated as Ricegrowers - Australia Pty. Limited. At first it distributed a single type of white and brown rice in polysac bags. It now manufactures two rice brands: Trukai, with medium grain, Jasmine and natural brown rice, and Roots, with medium grain and long grain rice. It also sells Trukai flour. Its main operations base is in Lae in the Morobe Province, supported by five sales centres across the country, and it runs a Smart Farmer agribusiness program.
