Description

Toulouse Vineyards is a winery in Anderson Valley, in Philo, California. The owner found the 160 acre property in 1997 with the plan to plant vines and sell grapes, and the first own wine, 400 cases, was produced in 2002. Owner and winemaker Vern Boltz bottles all of the wines on site. The vineyard is managed with organic practices, including compost and fish emulsion for fertilizer, cover crops, mechanical weeding and drip irrigation fed by a storm-water pond. In the cellar the winery uses native wild yeasts from the property, and it also runs a tasting room, wine club and events.
