Description
Ten Rivers Food Web is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support a resilient local food web in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties in Oregon. Through its Mid-Valley Food Hub it sources local food for institutions from multiple farms, with one order, one invoice and one delivery. It also publishes a local food directory connecting buyers with produce from nearby farms. Other programs include an annual farmers' market and winter vegetable festival and a sale of organic soil amendments. The organization notes that only about 5 percent of food consumed in its communities is produced locally.
