Description

Tankyu Distillery is a craft distillery in Higashikawa, Hokkaido, and is the only publicly owned, privately operated craft distillery in Hokkaido. It uses water from the Daisetsuzan mountains and ferments for 168 hours to make single malt whisky and the Yuki no Mado gin. The distillery was set up with the town of Higashikawa, which has no public water supply. It offers a private cask programme, distillery tours and corporate gifts. Its products include bottles available only in Hokkaido.
