Description

Swegreen is a Swedish agtech company that builds and operates indoor vertical farms inside supermarkets, restaurants and kitchens. About 20 of its farms run in Sweden and Germany, with retail partners including ICA, Coop and EDEKA, growing salad and herbs a few metres from where they are sold. The farms use closed, soil-free growing without pesticides and are offered as a service, with no investment needed from the store. Customers include grocery retail, restaurants, hotels, cruise ships, airports, schools and hospitals. The company states that it holds a US patent.
