Saltverk is an Icelandic producer of flaky sea salt, hand-harvested in the Westfjords from Arctic seawater and made with 100% geothermal energy. The company states that it revived Iceland's long-lost tradition of sea salt making and that its carbon footprint in producing the salt is zero. Its signature salts include flaky sea salt, birch smoked salt, arctic thyme salt, seaweed salt, lava salt and licorice salt, each with suggested food pairings.
