Saburomaru Distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery in Tonami, Toyama Prefecture, which has made whisky since 1952. Its parent company, Wakatsuru Shuzo, began sake brewing in the area in 1862 and released its first whisky, Sunshine Whisky, in 1953. The distillery was reborn in 2017 as a craft distillery and focuses on smoky, peated whisky under the theme The Ultimate Peat. It offers tours and sells through an online shop, and releases limited bottlings such as holiday collections. It also publishes cocktail recipes and sustainability information.
