Description

Riclan is a Brazilian candy maker whose history began in the 1940s in Rio Claro, with handmade sweets sold at the railway station. The business later became the Fábrica de Balas São João, started making lollipops in 1963 and opened a modern 30,000 square metre factory in 1973. That period brought its first iced candy with collectible stickers, and it began exporting to North America. Today it makes licensed confectionery under brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels and Hello Kitty, and it publishes a catalogue and launches.
