Description

Radanska Ruža is a social enterprise in Lebane, Serbia, that produces traditional preserved fruit and vegetables. Women from marginalised groups select and process the produce by hand in small pots in a shared kitchen, using old recipes and no preservatives or other additives, and the products are pasteurised and packed in glass jars. The fruit and vegetables come from small plots on the slopes of the Radan mountain. Its range includes ajvar, side dishes, delicacies, jams, sweet fruit preserves and organic products. The enterprise was set up through a project financed by the European Union, the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Serbia.
