NZ Hothouse grows, packs and markets hothouse produce in New Zealand and has done so for over 30 years. It began when founder Brett Wharfe started growing tomatoes in the 1980s and sent his fruit to the wholesale markets. Today the group employs more than 350 people across growing, packing, marketing and logistics. Growers use predator insects and other biological methods instead of insecticides. The company also publishes recipes, runs its own distribution and exports its produce.
