Description

Moppet is a Nigerian family nutrition brand making biofortified cereals and fruit-sweetened spreads with no additives, aimed at babies and children. Its products start on smallholder farms and use biofortified crops such as vitamin A maize and sweet potatoes. The factory runs on biogas generated from food waste, and overripe avocados are turned into avocado oil used in its peanut butter spread. Through outreach and health programmes, the company says it has nourished more than 80,000 children. It also runs a farming programme and recruits distributors.
