Description

Monaghan Mushrooms is an Irish mushroom producer that describes itself as one of the largest in the world, with a team of over 2,500 people. It grows its own substrate from natural by-products sourced locally, harvests the mushrooms and packs them for retail and foodservice customers. Its vertical system lets each pack be traced back to the farm it came from. The company markets mushrooms under brands including The Mighty Mushroom Co. and Belle Grove, and reports having moved to peat-free production as part of its sustainability programme.
