Description

Metzgerei Hiestand runs a Maultaschen manufactory that makes fresh Swabian Maultaschen. The original recipe comes from Julie Früh, grandmother of the founder Reinhold Ruck, who worked as a cook in Stuttgart from 1908. The Maultaschen are closed by hand on all four sides instead of being rolled, and are made from thin noodle dough, beef and pork from the Göppingen district and the Swabian Alb, spinach, eggs, onions, parsley and soaked rolls, without preservatives or glutamate. The range includes vegetarian Maultaschen and two kinds of bouillon, and the company supplies private customers, restaurants and resellers, with chilled shipping.
