Description

Llano Estacado Winery is a Texas winery founded in 1976 in Lubbock. It was started by a group of Texas Tech University professors and local investors who wanted to show that quality wine could be made in Texas, and it gained national attention in 1984 when its Chardonnay won a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. The company makes red wines and small-lot releases from its vineyards.
