L'Artisan Cheese is an Australian cheesemaker founded by Matthieu Megard, a third-generation French cheesemaker, on the Great Ocean Road. It makes traditional French-style cheeses by hand, from skimming to moulding, using recipes and techniques he brought from France. The milk is organic certified and comes mainly from the Smith Family Organic Farm, whose Jersey cows are fed no silage. The cheeses range from Extravagant Triple Cream to Mepunga Gruyere, including semi-hard and hard cooked cheeses.
