Kras is a Slovenian meat producer mainly known for Karst prosciutto, which it has made since 1956. Its roots go back to the 1950s, when the then agricultural cooperative began organised prosciutto production. The company describes the drying of the ham in the clean air and bora wind of the Karst region under the care of master curers. Besides prosciutto it offers other meat products and ready-made platters of cold cuts.
