Description
Kellerei Kaltern is a historic winegrowers' cooperative in Kaltern, South Tyrol, Italy, founded in 1900. It represents a whole village and its growers: about 530 winegrowing families farm 420 hectares of vineyards at altitudes between 200 and 850 metres. The winery is an ambassador for wines from around the Kalterer See, especially the Kalterersee variety, which comes from the oldest DOC zone in South Tyrol. Its ranges include Quintessenz, Selektion and Klassik, as well as the kunst.stück line. The winery sells through its own points of sale in Kaltern, including a winecenter, a wine bar and a historic-centre Vinothek, and offers guided tours and tastings all year.
