Description

ICAM is an Italian chocolate maker that has been active since 1946 and is run by a family now in its third generation. It manages the entire cocoa supply chain, from the seed onwards, and offers chocolate for professionals as well as finished products. Since the 1980s it has run social and economic programmes in cocoa-growing regions, working with cooperatives in Latin America and Africa. It reports having trained 7,500 farmers at three sites in Uganda. The company ties its approach to four pillars: people, supply chain, environment and innovation.
