Hackney Gelato is a London gelato maker founded by two chefs who grew up in Italy and trained with master gelatieri in Sicily. It started in 2015 by making bespoke gelato for restaurants in London and worked with chefs such as Tomos Parry, Marcus Wareing, Elizabeth Haigh and Pierre Koffmann before selling tubs in shops. Besides gelato it makes sorbetto, and it offers separate restaurant and retail menus. The company has won 104 Great Taste stars since 2015, is a B Corp, and is stocked by independent shops through a network of stockists.
