Grupomar is a Mexican tuna company that describes itself as the most efficient tuna fleet in the country, with more than 37 years of experience. It was built by its founder and president, Antonio Suárez Gutiérrez, who is known as the dean of fishing in Mexico. The company provides about 3,000 direct jobs. It holds certifications including BRC, Kosher, COFEPRIS accreditation and the Hecho en México mark, and it was the first Mexican tuna company to join the UN Global Compact Mexico. It sits on the board of COMEPESCA and supports sustainable fishing.
