Description
Gebers Landmarkt is a cooperative grocery store in Leonberg-Gebersheim. Local residents founded the cooperative at the end of 2017, and it took over the shop from the previous operator on 1 March 2018 to keep local supplies going in the village. The store covers over 400 square metres and carries nearly 6,000 everyday products, including regional, Demeter and organic goods and its own brands. It is run by an honorary board with employees and many volunteers, and the city of Leonberg is a member of the cooperative. The store has been modernised for sustainability, for example with new lighting and new refrigeration.
