Firestone Vineyard was founded in 1972 by Leonard Firestone, son of tire innovator Harvey Firestone, and his son Brooks, and was the first estate winery in Santa Barbara County. Today it farms 325 certified sustainable vineyard acres in the Santa Ynez Valley under the guidance of vintner Bill Foley, and is a member of Foley Family Wines. The winery grows a range of grape varieties in a moderate climate with a long growing season.
