Delicata — Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker Ltd. is a family-run winery in Malta, led by managing director George Delicata with his sons Michael, Mario and Matthew, who oversees the vineyards. Grapes are hand-picked into small crates and pressed gently before the must goes to temperature-controlled tanks. The wines are made in 17th century cellars and cover Malta DOK, Gozo DOK and IGT classifications, plus sparkling wines. Ranges include Gran Cavalier, which the company calls its flagship, and the Classic Collection. The winery describes itself as the most awarded in Malta and organises the Delicata Classic Wine Festival in Gozo.
