De Fryske B.V. — De Fryske is a Dutch cheese producer in Friesland that makes cheese from the whole milk of cows fed mainly on grass. It states that it adds no chemical agents or E numbers, and that its farmland is not ploughed, at least 20 percent is left untouched and no pesticides are used. The cows graze for 180 days a year, and their feed consists largely of residual streams such as beet pulp and brewer's grain. Its cheeses have won prizes, are vacuum packed, and are sold online with subscriptions, in local Friesland supermarkets and specialist shops, and nationally at PLUS.
