Description

De Castellane (Champagne de Castellane) is a Champagne house in Epernay, founded in 1895 by Viscount Florens de Castellane. It chose the red Saint Andrew's cross as its logo. In 1902 it commissioned the painter Leonetto Cappiello to design its first advertising poster, and it has since built a collection of paintings and posters. In 1907 the Union Champenoise acquired the house.
