Cheese & Wine Abe is a specialty cheese and wine shop in Akita City, Japan, run by a couple who are both certified sommeliers. Opened in 1996 as a cheese shop and renamed after obtaining a liquor licence in 1999, it stocks 40 to 70 mainly European cheeses and around 2,000 bottles of wine, along with whisky, Scottish craft beer, Italian cured meats and other imported foods. It also carries products from local Akita producers and prepares gift boxes for delivery.
