Description

Campco is an Indian farmers' cooperative founded in 1973 in Mangalore as the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited. It was set up to help arecanut and cocoa growers in Karnataka and Kerala after a steep fall in arecanut prices. Its products include areca, pepper, cocoa, rubber and coconut or copra, together with chocolates and industrial cocoa products. The cooperative has a member portal, a member benefit scheme and manures and fertilizers for farmers. It also provides a cocoa handbook and supports research in arecanut.
