Brennerei Sammet — Edelobstbrennerei Sammet is a small fruit distillery in Löwenstein, in the Swabian region of Germany, run by Martin Sammet, who is a distiller and certified spirits sommelier. His family has distilled fruit brandies for many generations, and its agricultural tradition goes back to 1752. Most of the fruit comes from the family's own orchards and is picked by hand, and the mash is distilled slowly in a copper pot. The range includes clear fruit brandies, brandies aged in used oak casks with added dried fruit, rum, gin, liqueurs and aperitifs. Spring water from the local hills is used to bring the spirits down to bottling strength.
