Brauerei Locher Appenzeller — Brauerei Locher is a family brewery in the Appenzellerland region of Switzerland, brewing Appenzeller beer since 1886 and now run by the fifth generation of the Locher family. Its range includes about 40 varieties, among them the Quöllfrisch line, organic beers, a gluten-free beer, ginger beer, a stout, a sour beer, shandies and several alcohol-free drinks. The company also operates the Säntis Malt Distillery, which has produced single malt whiskies since 1999, and the vinegar producer CréaCeto, which makes beer balsamic vinegar. Under the brewbee name it turns spent grain and other brewing by-products into food products, and it offers a visitor centre with tastings.
