Description

Bovino Vineyards is a winery in the Templeton Gap area of Paso Robles, California, founded by Dan Souza, a wine grape grower and dairy farmer. The name combines bovine, for his dairy livestock, with vino, for his vines. The estate is 83.5 acres in the El Pomar District of the Paso Robles AVA, with 45 acres planted to grapes. Sixteen varietals are grown on the property, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Arneis, Graciano and Tempranillo. The winemaking facility and tasting room were designed by a local architect, and the winery says it gives back to its community.
