Description

Blackwood Pet Food makes dry dog and cat food that it cooks slowly in small batches at family-operated facilities in the USA. The company says cooking at lower temperatures and slower rates increases nutrient retention, and that Kansas State University researchers studied and validated the process. Its recipes are said to support the immune system, heart, brain, hips and joints, as well as skin and coat health. The protein, fat and fiber percentages are printed on each bag to help owners choose a recipe. The brand offers separate recipe lines for dogs and cats.
