Berman Bakery was founded in Jerusalem in 1875 and describes itself as one of the large bakeries in Israel, supplying bread and baked goods to hundreds of thousands of households. Its range includes classic and special breads, health and low-calorie breads, challah, pitas, rolls, cakes and cookies, with spelt and sourdough breads among the products. It operates from a site of about 10,000 square metres in the Givat Shaul industrial zone in Jerusalem. Lechem HaAretz is its boutique bakery line. Berman also runs a factory shop opened in 1999 and a shop with a cafe near the Mahane Yehuda market opened in 2010, and it offers franchises.
