Description

Agrico Qatar is a Qatari agricultural company that describes a history of about 70 years and says it is one of the country's original food companies. It grows vegetables, mushrooms, leafy greens, fruit, honey, eggs and seafood, including from a shrimp farm and an organic farm. Its farm lies 58 kilometres from Doha and supplies more than 1,400 supermarkets, caterers, restaurants, cafes and hotels daily. The company uses LED plantation, hydroponic and aquaponic technology to grow all year with less water and electricity. It also offers turnkey and customised farming systems to farmers, with affiliated companies for compost, construction and agricultural services.
