Acquerello is an Italian rice brand from the Tenuta Colombara estate that produces aged Carnaroli rice. The rice is grown, processed and packed on the estate, and it is aged in refrigerated silos for between one and eight years. Its patented process reintroduces the germ into the grain, so the rice combines the cooking simplicity of white rice with the nutritional elements of whole-grain rice. The company says the rice goes through 20 carefully controlled processing steps.
