A.J. Trucco Inc. is an importer and distributor of fresh produce, dried fruits and nuts, tracing its roots to 1937 at the Washington Street Produce Market in Manhattan before moving to the Hunts Point market in the Bronx. Long known for fresh Italian chestnuts, it expanded from 1999 into kiwifruit, garlic, figs and citrus, and today also handles blueberries, ginger, lemons, limes, mandarins, pineapples and organic products. It operates distribution centres in New York, New Jersey and California, and its brands include KiwiStar, TruStar, Fresco and Naturi.
