This coffee is the second of two lots sourced from the Embu region of Kenya. It is also a Regional Select (much like our Excelso Colombia regional select coffees) that was developed to highlight how different local environments - like soil and elevation - shape a coffee's unique flavor profile. For regional select coffees, green lots were blended that score between 84 and 87; however, when these lots made it stateside they were cupping out much higher, around 90 points.
